Please someone tell me how to find a brand manager in Newark or a registered nurse in LA using twitter? I have never found a candidate using twitter or facebook or myspace. We do use linkedin, google, craigslist, realmatch, indeed and some others.
Twitter might not be the easiest way to find someone. You’ll need a pretty big following to get the word out. Then just tweet that you are looking to fill those positions. Linked in is pobably what I would use to find a good candidate. You can see recommendations, a portfolio and all sorts of other things right from their page.

What's the best way for a job seeker to use Facebook?
Ask your friends if they know of any open positions. Getting an interview is 100 times easier if you have a connection on the inside. This is what social media is all about, growing your list of connections so that you can help and be helped.
